Deposits & Payment

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order.
The remaining balance is due before delivery or pick-up.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise agreed.
Your quote is based on the details you provide at the time of ordering. If you request changes after work has begun (for example, altering wording, adding extra details, or requesting a different style), additional costs will apply to cover the extra time and materials.
All products remain the property of SLAB DEZIGNS until paid in full.

All signs are hand-carved - no machines, no mass production.
Every piece of timber has its own grain, knots, and character. Because of this, no two signs are ever identical.
We will send you a proof (showing font and layout) before carving begins, but the finished sign may differ slightly from previews due to the natural variations of wood and the hand-crafted process.

Please allow plenty of time for your sign to be created, especially for special events such as 21sts, weddings, or gifts.
While we always do our best, we cannot guarantee last-minute requests will be completed in time.

We are based in Ōpōtiki, Bay of Plenty.
Local orders: we are often able to hand-deliver and, where appropriate, assist with installation.
Nationwide orders: we can arrange shipping or collection. Freight charges will be confirmed at the time of quoting.

Our signs are carved from durable New Zealand timbers such as macrocarpa and totara.
With proper care, they are built to last for many years.
We recommend oiling your sign yearly to help maintain its appearance and durability.
However, as with all natural wood products, signs exposed to weather and sunlight will change in appearance over time. This natural ageing is part of the timber’s character.
We cannot guarantee against fading, cracking, or weathering once the sign is installed outdoors.

We may also use your contact details to send occasional updates or newsletters, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
